Quality Policy
Displaze is currently undergoing preparations to be approved as an ISO 9001 certified company, better known in Europe as EN 29000. This standard specifies the requirements to a quality system, which includes all important parts of a company such as design, production service and sales.

All spheres and working processes are involved in the system of total quality management. ISO 9001 has become an important criteria in production engineering to maintain standards in the international market.

RoHS Compliance
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) Directive has been passed into law by the European Union (EU). It affects manufacturers, sellers, distributors and recyclers of electrical and electronic equipment containing lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chrome, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE). After July 1, 2006 the use of these materials will be banned in new products sold in Europe.

Displaze currently ensure that any new supplier of electrical and electronic products confirm in writing that they were working towards these directives. Any new supplier unable to give Displaze these assurances will not be used as a source of supply. All existing suppliers have been requested to confirm the status of their RoHS programme.

All products, and their packaging materials, distributed by Displaze are fully RoHS-compliant. An exception to this will be certain products used in medical monitoring which are exempt from the legislation.

WEEE Statement
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE) applies to companies that manufacture, sell, distribute, recycle or treat electrical and electronic equipment and to consumers in the EU. It covers all large and small household appliances, IT equipment, radio and audio equipment, electrical tools and telecommunications equipment, aiming to reduce the waste arising from electrical and electronic equipment and to improve the environmental performance of all parts and processes involved in the life cycle of these products.

Responsibility
As distributors of electronic components, which fall outside of the scope of the directive, Displaze are not obligated to provide any schemes for the disposal of business WEEE

OEM Products
OEM Products produced to specific customer requirements are labelled as per the European Directive EN50419 with the "crossed out wheelie bin" symbol on product labelling. All OEM products are supplied on the basis it is the responisibility of the purchasor to comply with the directive unless otherwise agreed.
